We are pleased to announce that David A. Kania has joined the Queens Road team! Dave has over 30 years of experience in mutual fund distribution with a variety of financial institutions.

Dave will serve as the Head of Institutional Sales for the Queens Road Funds and will serve RIA firms and institutions throughout the US. “We have good relationships with a number of great, high-quality RIA firms that are using Queens Road for their clients. We are excited about Dave joining our team to help us reach additional firms that should know our story,” says Portfolio Manager Steve Scruggs, CFA. “For 17 years, we’ve stuck to our disciplined value approach and delivered exactly what we said we would. The funds will trail during momentum-based, frothy markets. We typically hold steady when investors pay attention to risk. And we’ve tended to out-perform when there is volatility and worry in the markets. Over full market cycles, we strive to deliver above market returns with a lower risk profile. “

John Bragg, CFP®, will continue to work with existing and new Queens Road RIA clients alongside Dave. “I am looking forward to working with Dave as his many years of experience will be very valuable as we continue to reach good firms that believe in the value that is added by active managers.”

Dave joins Queens Road Funds most recently from Sentinel Investments where he was responsible for mutual fund distribution in the retirement channel (DCIO). Prior to Sentinel, he held key roles in mutual fund and institutional sales with firms such as Transamerica Investment Management and the Berger Funds. “When Sentinel’s assets were sold off by National Life Group in late 2017, I took time to think carefully about who I wanted to partner with during this next phase of my career. A long-time friend and former colleague suggested the folks at Queens Road were high-quality people dedicated to their clients and craft and made an introduction. From there, it didn’t take long for me to recognize a strong fit not only with their time-tested approach to value investing, but more importantly, with the quality of the people with whom I am blessed to now call my colleagues. I look forward to meeting Queens Road’s existing RIA clients and forging new relationships with other believers in the value of active management,” Dave commented about joining the Queens Road team.
